Stories of Change

In the Kumbungu district of the Northern Region, Ghana the vast majority of people live intimately with the land as subsistence farmers. In recent decades farming in the area has become harder as the soils have become infertile and rainfall patterns have become unpredictable. With the introduction of chemicals and foreign ideas, farmers have been confronted with decisions that have affected the way they farm, their traditional beliefs and their lifestyles. Here three farmers in ORDF’s target area tell us their stories.
